ROOKAKON started on the reformer.
Not in a boardroom. Not in a lab. On a reformer, mid-class, on a Tuesday when the studio was warm and the instructor was counting down from eight with the energy of someone counting from fifty.
Hands slipping. Wrists grumbling. Another rep lost to friction.
We looked for grip gloves made specifically for pilates - breathable, flexible, non-slip, and not sized for someone with hands twice the size.
We came up short. So we made them ourselves.
