ROOKAKON started on the reformer.

Not in a boardroom. Not in a lab. On a reformer, mid-class, on a Tuesday when the studio was warm and the instructor was counting down from 8 like they were counting down from 50.

Hands slipping. Wrists grumbling. Another rep lost to friction.

We looked for grip gloves made specifically for pilates - breathable, flexible, non-slip, and not sized for someone with hands twice the size.

We came up short. So we made them ourselves.
